Nothing More by The Alternate Routes - Lyrics

Nothing More by the Alternate Routes - Lyrics

To be humble, to be kind

It is the giving of the peace in your mind

To a stranger, to a friend...

To give in such a way that has no end

We are love

We are one

We are how we treat each other when the day is done

We are peace

We are war

We are how we treat each other and nothing more

To be bold, to be brave;

It is the thinking that the heart can still be saved

And the darkness can come quick;

The Danger's in the Anger and the hanging on to it

We are love

We are one

We are how we treat each other when the day is done

We are peace

We are war

We are how we treat each other and nothing more

Tell me what it is that you see

A world that's filled with endless possibilities?

Heroes don't look they used to, they look like you do

We are love

We are one

We are how we treat each other when the day is done

We are peace

We are war

We are how we treat each other and nothing more

We are how we treat each other and nothing more

We are how we treat each other

Kindergarten Concert!

 Kindergarten Concert!

The Kindergarten students were all a buzz at their Bee concert on April 27.    They enjoyed sharing their work, dances, poems, and songs with an audience.  They sang Bee-utifully and had a wonderful time!

It was so neat to see everyone dressed up in their Black and Yellow!

Our Wild Symphony work is complete!

I have enjoyed watching how engaged the Grade 1/2 students have been as we have explored this book's characters, instruments and the Musical learning that has happened along the way.

Wild Symphony books have been sent home as the students are anxious to share them with you.

Rondo Alla Turca by Mozart - Grade 3/4

Rondo Alla Turca - Fun With Composers

The grade 3/4 classes have been listening, singing and dramatizing  with Rondo Alla Turca by Mozart.

We have been using the Fun With Composers program.  The creater of this program (Deborah Ziolkoski) writes fictional stories to accompany Classical pieces of Music.  The story for Rondo Alla Turca is called The Mystery of King Lou.

After listening to the Music and the story, the students dramatize the story through movement, dance and singing.

Below is the link for Rondo Alla Turca if your child would like to show you our work from the classroom.

Recorders - Grade 5/6

Recorders - Grade 5/6

Grade 5/6 has made great progress on Recorders already!  They have learned a few GAB songs and we have been focussing on playing the notes accurately, maintaining a steady tempo, keeping our left hand on top and playing with good tone.

There is a lot of enthusiasm and they are eager to learn the songs to try for their recorder belts.
